Our Story

Built by parents, for parents.

We are Ron and Tali

Parents of a wonderful 4.5-year-old girl. Like every parent, we started facing the question: which school is right for our child?

We had different experiences of school growing up, so we really wanted to make sure we do what we can to put her in the best environment for her. But we found no helpful resources.

The problem we discovered

Standardized test scores don't tell you much beyond what the average student produces — but we don't care about averages. We care about our kid.

We wanted to know:

  • Who makes decisions at the school, and how?
  • What kind of decisions and policies are implemented?
  • How will our daughter learn to read, and why was that curriculum chosen?
  • And dozens of other questions we couldn't find answers for.

So we built it ourselves

We created SchoolMeasures for our own family first. We dug into Board of Education meetings, curriculum documents, policy decisions, and governance patterns — the things that actually shape a child's education day to day.

We analyzed a few districts ourselves, and now we want to bring it to whoever wants it.

How it works

We're just two parents with full-time jobs and a full-time 5-year-old. To prioritize our work for a school district, we need 100 parents making a $50 refundable deposit for that specific district.

Once we get 100 parents for a district, we'll do our best to get the analysis up on the website within a week. If we can't get it up in a month, you can ask for a full refund.

The deal

  • $50 deposit — fully refundable if we don't deliver
  • 100 parents — to unlock a district for analysis
  • 1-week target — to publish the report once unlocked
  • 1-month guarantee — full refund if we can't deliver

What we believe

Parents deserve more than a number. You deserve to understand how decisions are made, what values guide your school district, and where the district is heading — not just where it's been.

That's what SchoolMeasures provides: clarity, not just scores.

Want to get the district you care about available? Just tell other parents about this.
